At Above & Beyond Learning Experience each and every student is important and matters. Mikki White and her teaching team have always genuinely cared that my son have the most positive and successful learning experience that he can. Their efforts and ideas are always endless when trying to find creative ways to explore learning material and techniques. Their dedication, commitment and ongoing communication with me has been a tremendous support to both my son and I. My experience at Above & Beyond gave me a new perspective on math, learning and teachers. I was failing miserably in math, as most Ontario grade nine students do. My confidence and motivation were gone. I felt completely defeated. That was all regained at Above and Beyond were I was allowed to learn not only math but about diversity, compassion, friendship and Christianity. I was a high school student who couldn't keep up, had terrible grades and assumed school just wasn't for me. Six years ago while attending tutoring for chemistry I was lucky enough to meet the Principle, Mikki White of Above and Beyond Learning. She then offered me some hope and patience but ended up giving me confidence, success and a second chance. Because of this second chance I was able to get into a post secondary school and succeed. I recently decided to complete an online college program to further my education. Above and Beyonds proctoring flexibility was perfect to accommodate my work schedule and make it work. I passed this program with all A's, a piece of paper saying honors. I don't think I have ever been so proud of myself for succeeding in something I once thought was impossible and not worth it. Without the support and encouragement of Mikki and the Above and Beyond team I would not be where I am today and would not be writing this on my lunch break of a job I am so proud to have achieved, with confidence, all on my own. Above & beyond learning experience (ABLE) helped me get my high school diploma, I struggled through school and hated it, I went to Able they took the time to make sure I understood what I was doing even if I asked the same question a 100 times. A few times I wanted to give up and quit I always had Mikki saying you can do it I believe in you and with that support I was able to graduate and be the first person in my family to go to college Shane Crombie
The support, coupled with the self-teaching style prepared me for University in a way that I did not receive in high school. The subject material covered in Chemistry, Calculus, and Physics is the same material I am currently learning in my courses at Queen’s, making my transition into University much easier than that of my classmates. I could not be happier with my experience at above and beyond, and would recommend it to anyone that is looking to elevate their learning experience, and to prepare themselves for University. My experience at learning at Above and Beyond has been amazing. The opportunities that the teachers provided me and aided me in my learning have help me success greatly in University. What I had learned at Above and Beyond has help me maintain good mark and that has allowed me to become a Teacher Assistance as well at Carleton University. I would have never make it to university, doing what I am doing right now and on top of learning Commerce and Science at the same time. I would recommend Above and Beyond School to anyone that want to think outside of the box and get away from the traditional learning system.
